Experimental Notes & User Guide (Built-in Transducers Only)

Mode 1: Generator Only

Uses 1 Phone (Phone A). Generates continuous tones, sweeps, or waveforms strictly capped at 10 kHz to respect smartphone acoustic speaker thresholds.

Mode 2: Receiver Only

Uses a separate Phone (Phone B) placed 25 cm to 50 cm away. Captures acoustic/vibration signals via microphone, logs arrival timestamps, and tracks time-of-flight.

Mode 3: Both (Transceiver)

Runs generation and live sensing simultaneously on a single device, or coordinates cross-device testing. Note: This experiment relies purely on built-in phone speakers and microphones; external jack connections will be integrated in a separate future experiment.
